Jayati Ghosh is the Dean of Scott L. Carmona College of Business at Saginaw Valley State University, Michigan. In her previous leadership roles, she served as the Dean of the School of Business Administration at Widener University, Pennslyvania. At Dominican University of California, she served as the Associate Dean, Founding Executive Director of Internationalization and Global Education and Honors Program.


She is an experienced visionary leader with thirty years of experience in higher education as a faculty member and administrator, who is committed to advancing the mission of the university, integrating and promoting liberal arts. Ghosh is committed to promoting high impact practices which makes a college experience truly transformative and inclusive. Furthermore, she is committed to engaging with faculty and staff in shared governance and collective bargaining; brings experience in strategic planning; promoting continuous improvement through accreditation and assessment; creating and implementing new programs and re-engineering existing program.

Jayati has been an Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) volunteer for multiple years. Over the years she has made an incredible impact and served in multiple roles. She leads and serves on peer review teams, as an accreditation mentor to schools engaged in the initial accreditation process and serves on the Continuous Improvement Review Committee (CIRC). She is an active participant in affinity group including Women Advancing Management Education (WAME), and in the past has served on the Small Schools affinity group.


Currently she serves on the board of the Great Lakes Bay Economic Club, Michigan and has served on the multiple committees of the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce, California. She is the past President of the Middle Atlantic Association of Colleges of Business Administration (MAACBA) and served on the Board of Directors.


Ghosh has led students in a collaborative project in South Africa and short-term international study trips.


Jayati had taught courses in cross-cultural management, business environment in Asia, global issues, and business communication.  Her research interests are in the areas of economic development, health issues and small and medium size enterprises (SMEs).  She has presented her research at national and international conferences and published extensively.


Ghosh earned her PhD from the University of Waterloo, Canada and MA from Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada. She also received a MSc from the University of Calcutta, India. In 2024 she earned a professional certificate from the Institute for Management and Leadership in Education (MLE), Harvard University. Ghosh participated at the Aspen Institute’s Undergraduate Business Education Consortium, designed to promote liberal arts education in professional programs. She also participated in the White House Convening of Business School Deans and the Business Community on Expanding Opportunities for Women in Business.
