Sai University and CUHP Host Webinar on Enhancing Research Visibility through ORCID

Chennai, September 24, 2025 – The Sai University Library & Centre for Research, in collaboration with the Department of Library and Information Science (LIS), Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP), successfully organized a webinar on “Enhancing Research Visibility and Use of ORCID.” The event was held on 24 September 2025 and brought together faculty, researchers, and students to explore the importance of digital researcher identifiers in advancing academic visibility and impact.

The session featured an insightful expert talk by Dr. Mohit Garg, IIT Delhi, highlighting how ORCID can streamline academic identity management and increase the global reach of research work. The program began with a warm welcome address by Mr. Sambath, Assistant Librarian, Sai University, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Subba Rao Toleti, Dean, School of Technology & Centre for Research, Sai University.

The webinar was jointly coordinated by Prof. Shivarama Rao K, Head, Department of LIS, CUHP, and Mr. Aravind R. Nair, Manager Librarian, Sai University.

Supported by the ORCID Global Participation Fund, this initiative reflects the commitment of Sai University and CUHP to strengthening awareness about digital researcher identifiers. By empowering scholars with tools like ORCID, the universities aim to enhance research visibility, academic credibility, and global scholarly communication.
