72 graduates receive degrees as the Tata Sons Chairman shares a message of preparation, lifelong learning and personal growth.
Sai University celebrated its Convocation 2026, conferring degrees on 72 graduating students. N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, delivered the convocation address, encouraging graduates to approach their next chapter with clear goals, resilience and a willingness to keep learning.
Drawing on his experience as a marathon runner, Mr. Chandrasekaran urged students to focus on their own progress rather than comparisons with others. He emphasised the importance of preparation, consistent effort and balancing long-term ambitions with smaller achievements along the way.
“Pressure is a privilege,” he reminded graduates, quoting tennis legend Billie Jean King. He encouraged them to recognise the responsibility and opportunity that accompany expectations, and to meet challenges with confidence and humility.
Reflecting on a world being reshaped by artificial intelligence, technological advances and changing economic conditions, Mr. Chandrasekaran spoke about the opportunities emerging alongside disruption. He expressed confidence in India’s growth prospects and encouraged graduates to remain curious and receptive to new possibilities throughout their careers.
K. V. Ramani, Founder and Chancellor of Sai University, reflected on the vision behind establishing the institution: creating opportunities for students to pursue a high-quality education in India. He highlighted the graduating students’ multidisciplinary learning, including combinations such as Computer Science and Psychology, as an expression of this vision.
The convocation marked an important milestone for the graduates and Sai University, celebrating academic achievement while looking ahead to the contributions students will make across their chosen fields.
