Sai University Inaugurates State-of-the-Art Sports Complex to Boost Student Excellence

Sai University has inaugurated its new Sports Complex at the main campus on OMR, marking a major step towards promoting sports, wellness, and holistic student development.

The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries including Thiru S. R. L. Idhayavarman (Chairman, Thirupporur Panchayat Union & Former MLA), Thirumathi Satya Sekhar (Vice Chairman, Thirupporur Panchayat Union), and Tmt Viji Mohan (President, Kunnappattu Village Panchayat), who formally opened the facilities. Thiru T. M. Anbarasan, Honourable Minister for MSME, Government of Tamil Nadu, conveyed his best wishes for the occasion.

In its first phase, the Sports Complex features world-class infrastructure including basketball and volleyball courts, cricket and football grounds, badminton courts, and dedicated cricket practice nets—designed to encourage active participation and nurture competitive talent.

Students brought the event to life with dynamic sports demonstrations across boxing, taekwondo, silambam, cricket, basketball, and volleyball, showcasing their skill, discipline, and enthusiasm.

The event also celebrated the recent achievement of the Sai University Cricket Team, which secured a winner’s title at a major inter-college tournament in Chennai.

University leadership, including Founder & Chancellor Thiru K. V. Ramani and Vice Chancellor Dr. Ajith Abraham, emphasized the institution’s commitment to developing well-rounded individuals by integrating academics with physical fitness, leadership, and teamwork.

The inauguration marks a new chapter in building a vibrant sports culture at Sai University, empowering students to excel both on and off the field.
