
Anvesh Baki

Anvesh Baki has over two years of experience in law and has worked across many domains, including litigation and legal research. He completed his LLM (Human Rights, Conflict and Justice) in 2023, from SOAS, University of London, United Kingdom, He previously graduated from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, where he completed his B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), in 2021. He has various publications and has presented at esteemed conferences since.
He began his career at the Office of the Additional Advocate General of Telangana, where he worked on cases involving arbitrary state (executive/legislative) action, fundamental rights, land acquisition matters, and local self-government in scheduled-V areas. Subsequently, he joined as a research consultant at Criminal Justice and Police Accountability Project, Bhopal, tracing the historical process of unscrupulous datafication that was put into motion through the enactment of the Criminal Tribes Act, and its enduring impact on policing of the marginalized communities in Hyderabad.
