Dr. Aravindraja Chairmandurai is an accomplished biomedical scientist with more than 10 years of translational research experience spanning neurodegenerative diseases, oral microbiome research, and molecular microbiology. His expertise includes animal model development, iPSC-derived neuron and astrocyte assays, microRNA profiling, and studies on infectious disease mechanisms.
Dr. Chairmandurai earned his Master’s degree (2009) and Doctoral degree (2017) in Biotechnology from Alagappa University, India. During his Ph.D.,
In addition to his research accomplishments, Dr. Chairmandurai is an active educator and mentor. He has taught
Molecular Biology practical courses for postgraduate students and has served as a resource person for workshops on genomics and proteomics. He also serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals and continues to mentor undergraduate students, interns, and visiting scholars from Brazil, Japan, and India.
