Dr. Mrinalini Kannan

Mrinalini has over 9 years of research experience in the field of natural language processing, machine learning, and speech processing. She earned her PhD in 2022 from Anna University, Chennai. She has several publications in both international journals and conferences including journals such as IEEE Transactions on Audio, Speech, and Language Processing (IEEE TASLP) and ACM Transactions on Asian and Low-Resource Language Information Processing (ACM TALLIP).
Mrinalini was a Senior Project Officer with the Speech and Language Technologies Lab (SLT) at Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering, Chennai. She served as the co-investigator for a research project funded by HCL Technologies Ltd. She has mentored UG and PG students for their academic projects. Additionally, she also worked as the Principal Consultant (NLP) for an AI start-up in Chennai.
