Dr. Sridhar Krishnaswami is a seasoned journalist and academic with over 35 years of professional experience in the field of media and communication.
He served as a Foreign Correspondent for 18 years, including fourteen years with The Hindu and the Press Trust of India in Washington D.C., where he covered North America and the United Nations. He also spent four years in Singapore, leading coverage of Southeast Asia and the Asia-Pacific region for The Hindu.
Transitioning to academia, Dr. Krishnaswami has spent the past 16 years in teaching and research, bringing his extensive international journalism experience into the classroom. His areas of interest include international relations, global media systems, political communication, and the intersection of diplomacy and journalism.
In addition to his academic role, he serves as Secretary and Governing Council Member of the Indo-Japan Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Chennai, contributing to cross-cultural collaboration and international business exchange.
