Kartavya Sonar

Lecturer in the School of Computing and Data Science

Mr. Kartavya Sonar as Lecturer in the School of Computing and Data Science. Mr. Kartavya has one year of experience in Computer Science and has worked across domains including Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Cloud Computing. He holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Leeds, UK.


He began his career as a Backend Developer Intern at SachiTech. Subsequently, he contributed to globally recognized open-source projects, including Kubernetes and Kubernetes Test-Infra, before joining Sai University. During his career, he has been associated with SachiTech (Backend Developer Intern), the University of Leeds (Researcher – MSc Dissertation), and the Kubernetes open-source community as a contributor to core infrastructure and documentation.


Mr. Kartavya has industry and research experience in backend engineering, cloud-native systems, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. His work spans scalable backend development, NLP research, distributed systems, and open-source software development. At Sai University, he will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, mentoring students, supervising projects, and contributing to research and curriculum development in the School of Computing and Data Science. In his leisure time, he enjoys contributing to open-source projects, playing musical instruments, gaming, exploring emerging technologies, and solving algorithmic programming challenges.
