Prof. Rathnasabapathy is the Dean, School of Arts and Sciences at Sai University. She specializes in fields such as Educational Psychology, Neuro-Cognitive Psychology, Social Psychology, Indigenous Psychology, and Disability Studies. Her research highlights include guiding 9 Ph.D. research scholars and undertaking 9 government-funded research initiatives. Notable completed projects include Indian Council for Social Science Research (ICSSR), MHRD, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and Government of Tamil Nadu. She has published extensively in Scopus-indexed and peer-reviewed journals, focusing on well-being, dyslexia, ADHD, and psychological health. Additionally, she has published a patent for a "Casper intervention model" aimed at improving social skills in children with dyslexia.


She is an experienced counsellor with a background in helping children, vulnerable adults, and families resolve emotional difficulties and plan realistic behavioral interventions. She also practices industrial and corporate consulting. She serves as a corporate and soft skills trainer specializing in human behavior identification and corporate interpersonal communication. She has been honoured with multiple research and faculty distinctions at VIT, alongside the Best Contribution Award from the Indian School Psychology Association (InSPA) in 2019.
