Ms. Sawmya brings over two decades of experience in Human Resources, Administration, Compliance, and Teaching, with professional experience across manufacturing, service industries, corporate organisations, and educational institutions.

She is currently pursuing her PhD in Human Resources and Organisational Behaviour at the Business School, Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Chennai campus. She holds multiple advanced qualifications, including an MBA in HR & Systems, MA in Sociology, MA in English Literature, Diploma in Labour Law, and B.Ed. in Social Sciences.

Her academic achievements include a Gold Medal in Sociology from Madurai Kamaraj University, recognition among the Top 2% in Artificial Intelligence in HRM, a Silver Medal in Training & Development, and the Raman Research Award from VIT. She is also a certified POSH Professional Trainer, further strengthening her expertise in workplace compliance, employee well-being, and organisational development. She has published several articles on organisational innovation, psychological safety, organisational support, HR practices, and innovative work behaviour.

Her career spans reputed organisations, including TVS Group, India Cements Educational Society, Lighthouse Learning Pvt. Ltd., Linen Hub (India & Australia), KS HR Nova, and The Talent Care Group Advisory Board, with a presence across APAC, EMEA, and North America. Through these roles, she has successfully led initiatives in HR operations, compliance, employee engagement, training, and organisational development.

At Sai University, Ms. Sawmya will be responsible for HR strategy, compliance, talent management, and employee development initiatives. She is passionate about exploring how Artificial Intelligence and Organisational Intelligence can transform HR practices and contribute to the development of future-ready workplaces.
