Sai University’s Dr. Anil Annamneedi publishes two impactful studies in Frontiers in Neurology and Molecular Autism, advancing research on autism, epilepsy, genetics, and neural oscillations. Sai University Neuroscience Faculty Dr. Anil Annamneedi Publishes Two Significant Studies Advancing Autism and Epilepsy Research 17 November 2025 Sai University is proud to celebrate the outstanding research contributions of Dr. Anil Annamneedi , Faculty in Neuroscience, whose recent publications shed new light on the complex neural mechanisms underlying autism, epilepsy, and neurodevelopmental conditions. In his first publication in Frontiers in Neurology , Dr. Annamneedi and his collaborators explore the shared genetic foundations between autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and epilepsy . Their work identifies crucial genes associated with the presynapse , the central site of neuronal communication, offering deeper insight into signaling pathways that influence both conditions. This research provides an important step toward understanding the biological intersections between ASD and epilepsy. His second publication in Molecular Autism investigates aberrant hippocampal gamma oscillations in a mouse model of Fragile X syndrome. The study demonstrates how altered brain network activity contributes to autism-related symptoms, opening avenues for future studies on therapeutic targets and neural circuit modulation. These impactful contributions reflect Dr. Annamneedi’s commitment to advancing neuroscience and strengthening Sai University’s growing research ecosystem.
