Assoc. Prof. Anil Annamneedi is the Associate Dean of School of Technology at Sai University. He holds a PhD in Neuroscience, specializing in exploring the synaptic (neuron-neuron communication site) proteins’ contribution towards synaptic maturation and brain functions such as learning and memory, cognition as well as neuropathology. He has more than 8 years of post-PhD experience in Neuroscience research and teaching in domains of neuroscience, biotechnology and genetics across Germany, France and India. Dr. Annamneedi completed his PhD in Neuroscience from Leibniz Institute of Neurobiology (LIN) and was awarded with an academic degree “Dr. rer. nat” by Otto-von-Guericke University, Magdeburg, Germany in 2018. He completed the Master of Engineering (M. Eng) in Biomedical Engineering from Martin-Luther University, Halle-Wittenberg and Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, Koethen, Germany in 2013. During this period, he started his scientific career at the Center for Molecular Neurobiology Hamburg (ZMNH) in Parkinson's disease research. Prior to this, Dr. Annamneedi also completed a Master of Science (M.Sc) in Human Genetics from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, India in 2009. During his undergrad education he studied Environmental Studies, Chemistry, Zoology and Biotechnology and was awarded with Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) from Andhra University in 2007. Dr. Annamneedi has built his research in the field of neuroscience around understanding how genes, synapses, and neural circuits contribute to cognition and neurodevelopmental or neuropsychiatric disorders, particularly autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and schizophrenia. Dr. Annamneedi has received laurels as Center for behavioral brain sciences (CBBS) fellow (2019), a research grant and fellowship funded by European Regional Development Fund and Federal state of Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. He has also received an institutional seed grant called LINSeeds (2020). Dr. Annamneedi recently received the LE STUDIUM Visiting Researcher Award (2026) to conduct autism research in France. During his tenure as post doctoral researcher at Leibniz Institute for Neurobiology and subsequently at Otto-von-Guericke University (Germany), his research further deepens the understanding of synaptic signaling role during neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism. Further, at CNRS and INRAe research institute in France, his contributions as a post doctoral researcher are valuable in exploring the therapeutic potential of GPCR proteins in treating the autism symptoms. Prior to joining Sai University, as Research Assistant Professor in Biotechnology at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (India) he contributed towards teaching and establishing ASD model systems to study synaptic signaling. Dr. Annamneedi is contributing as scientific reviewer and as associate editor for several reputed journals. Having extensive research experience in neuroscience and as program director of neuroscience at Sai University, Dr. Annamneedi’s research broadly focuses on three major domains: Neurogenetics and synaptic signaling; Neural circuits and cognition; and Brain disorders. Prof. Sanjeev Ratna Singh is the Dean of School of Media at Sai University. He has experience in providing strategic leadership in all academic activities of the university, ensuring excellence in teaching, learning, curriculum development, academic regulations, and quality assurance. In his previous stint, he has been an integral part of the University accreditation and quality assurance initiatives, particularly those related to NAAC. This includes overseeing the preparation of Institutional Information for Quality Assessment, Self-Study Reports, Annual Quality Assurance Reports, data validation processes, and documentation of best practices. He is a highly respected media educator, media researcher, and one of the pioneers of digital journalism with more than 25 years of experience within both international news organizations and in higher education leadership positions. As the Dean of the School of Media at Sai University, he provides a collaborative educational environment that combines the professional practices of the media industry with internationally recognized liberal arts standards. Prior to taking up the position of Dean and Professor at the Times School of Media, Bennett University, he was Associate Dean at the School of Modern Media, UPES Dehradun. Additionally, he has extensive experience providing administrative support with respect to regulatory requirements; ensuring his institution's preparedness for NAAC accreditation; and developing collaborations between institutions globally. He has contributed significantly to the development of advanced Graduate, Post Graduate and Master level programs in addition to the design of "Digital First" media laboratories to replicate current newsrooms. Prior to entering academia, Prof. Singh occupied senior editorial roles with India’s top media houses. In these capacities, he worked as Editor (Digital Broadcast) at Times Internet Limited, where he was responsible for multimedia content development for over 10 different platforms, including The Times of India. He was part of the founding team for the launches of Times Now, NDTV, and Star News. He has continued to evolve and shape the Indian media landscape through his roles as a consultant for Moneycontrol.com, specifically focusing on advice regarding multimedia revenue generation and transforming newsrooms. His research is at the intersection of technology and democracy. He authored The Online Effect (Bloomsbury, 2024) , which represents a landmark study on the effects of social media on Indian elections and AI in Digital Marketing (White Falcon 2026) . His more recent research efforts have focused heavily on artificial intelligence. Specifically, he has contributed chapters for Springer Nature and IGI Global on the use of AI in communication, ethics, and media education. He also co-created the Mehta-Singh Social Index, a comprehensive, data-driven repository of political and caste-based social data. Sai University Leaders Chancellor Vice Chancellor Chief Operating Officer Dean of School's Chancellor Vice chancellor Academic Deans Admissions Director K.V. Ramani Founder and Chancellor, Sai University Mr. K. V. Ramani, founder and chancellor of Sai University, is one of the pioneers who led the efforts to bring India’s information technology sector to global prominence. He co-founded the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) to assist the growth and development of the IT sector in India. He served as its chairman from 1997 to 1998 and was a member of its executive council for the first 10 years, being re-elected by the members five times over. He received the Founder’s Award at NASSCOM’s silver jubilee celebrations in 2015 for ‘putting India on the Global IT Map.’ Mr. Ramani is currently the chairman and managing director of Digital Holdings Pvt. Ltd. and the founder and managing trustee of Shirdi Sai Trust. A successful technology entrepreneur, he joined IBM as a graduate engineer in 1970 at a time when very few Indians were a part of the IT sector’s talent pipeline. Anticipating the advent of the age of technology, he founded a premier communications technology firm called Future Software in 1985. He co-founded Hughes Software Systems, a telecommunications software company in India, as a joint venture with the US firm Hughes Software in 1990. He has been the charter president of the TiE (The indUS Entrepreneurs), Chennai Chapter, and a member of the governing council of Asia/Pacific I.T. Industry Association (ASOCIO). Additionally, he has worked for the department of electronics as a member of the working group on information technology and as the chairman of the study team on software development and exports for the ninth Five-Year plan during 1996. Between 1988 and 1992, he was the chairman of the software panel, southern region, for the Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC) under the Ministry of Commerce. He has been honored by Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for creating the brand of a new India as co-founder of NASSCOM and for the Shri Saibaba Sansthan, Shirdi, the inspiration behind his numerous philanthropic initiatives which include educational and medical services for the underprivileged. Mr. Ramani is driven by the urgent need to create world-class institutions for higher education in India and now steers his philanthropic efforts towards building a global interdisciplinary university in India.
