Shri Desai, one of India’s pioneering technopreneurs, founded Mastek Ltd. in 1982 , transforming it into a $400 million global enterprise. Under his visionary leadership, Majesco became the first Indian software product company to be listed on NASDAQ , marking a milestone in India’s technology evolution. A founding member and past Chairman of NASSCOM and former President of ASOCIO , Shri Desai has played a key role in establishing India’s leadership in the global IT industry. Beyond business, his deep commitment to education and social development is reflected through philanthropic initiatives such as the Ashank Desai Centre for Policy Studies at IIT Bombay , and the Leadership and OD Centre at IIM Ahmedabad , among others. Through foundations like Mastek Foundation , Avanshali Foundation , Avanti Fellows , PARFI , and WHEELS Global Foundation , he has enabled more than 200,000 individuals from underserved communities to access education, healthcare, and skill development. About Education Research Interests Major Works Sherman Teichman Professor of Practice, International Relations and Global Affairs MA Hebrew, University of Jerusalem Sherman Teichman is Professor of the Practice of International Relations and Global Affairs at SaiU. A pioneer in education to promote global engagement, he is the founding director emeritus of the Institute for Global Leadership (IGL) at Tufts University in Massachusetts (1985-2016). Among the innovative IGL programs he created are the academic colloquium/symposium program, Education for Public Inquiry and International Citizenship (EPIIC) , the Alliance Linking Leaders in Education and the Services (ALLIES) , immersive education program with the U.S. Military Academies, the interdisciplinary Synaptic Scholars program, and the photojournalism Program for Narrative and Documentary Practice . He developed the academic exchange program, Tufts Initiative for Leadership and International Perspective, (TILIP) , into a world-wide program, initially with BEIDA University in Beijing and Hong Kong University). He also created the social and economic entrepreneurial initiatives, Building Understanding Through International Learning and Development (BUILD) and Empower , and a global immersive student research program. Several thousand students were engaged over the three decades, researching and interning in over 120 regions and countries, from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe. In 2014, the Institute was lauded by the Carnegie Corporation of New York as “the proven breeding ground for future generations of international security and international relations.” As Emeritus, Teichman has also served as a Senior Fellow at the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy, at Harvard University’s Kennedy School; as a non-resident Research Associate in the Department of Politics and International Relations at the Centre for International Studies at Oxford University; as a Senior Fellow of the Liechtenstein Institute for Strategic Development; as a Senior Fellow at The Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights in Montreal; and as the inaugural Fellows Mentor for the Albright Institute at Wellesley College. He is a strategic adviser for the Human Rights Foundation, where he created the Oslo Scholars Program and he serves on the Advisory Boards of Beyond Conflict; Combatants for Peace; the Council of European Studies; International Student/Youth Pugwash; The Mind/Brain Center on War and Humanity; Mistral; Music for Life International; RefugePoint; and the VII Foundation. He is a member of the New America “Engaging Democracy Disinformation Working Group.” Prior to becoming a lecturer in the Department of Political Science at Tufts, Teichman was a Fellow and lecturer at Harvard’s Institute of Politics, the Kennedy School of Government; and a faculty member at Emerson College and Boston University. Teichman served as foreign policy analyst for WBUR (a National Public Radio affiliate); and a social science editor of the Boston Review . A former adviser to governments on counter terrorism and long-range strategic planning, he was also active with Amnesty International in the former Soviet Union and Central America. He has engaged in Track-Two diplomatic initiatives in the MENA region, and upon retiring, received the Elbe Group Award from the Belfer Center for Science and Technology at Harvard University , for “thirty years to have the courage to reach across dangerous divides.”

She was associated with reputed law firms such as M/s C. Varghese Kuriakose Advocates and M/s Intralegal Lawyers and Consultants, and also worked as a Transactional Lawyer with M/s Fabin Technologies, Kerala. The above reflects her professional and academic background prior to joining Sai University as Senior Assistant Professor. In her previous roles, Dr. Jaisy George has actively contributed to the academic and institutional development in capacities such as Member, Academic Council; NAAC Co-Ordinator; and Member, IQAC. She has also been engaged in student support initiatives as Chairperson, Students’ Grievance Cell; and as a member of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) and Remedial Coaching Cell. He received the Ph.D. degree in computer science and optimization from University Paris VI, Paris, France, in 1986, and the Doctor of Sciences (Habilitation) degree in computer science and optimization from University Paris XI, Orsay, France, in 1994. He was first involved in the development of analog and digital models of nuclear power plants with Electricité de France, Paris. Since 1995, he has been a Professor of Automatics and Informatics with Université Paris-Est Créteil, Créteil, France.
